How Our Piccolo Plus Tracker Works

The Piccolo Plus Vehicle tracker operates by using innovative GPS technology to provide continuous fleet monitoring. Here’s how it works:

Effortless Plug & Play Installation with Pass-Through Harness

Easily connect to virtually any vehicle on the road with versatile cable options. The system transmits GPS locations at customizable intervals—every set number of seconds, minutes, miles, or kilometers—based on vehicle speed, ensuring accurate and timely tracking.

Automatically enters deep sleep mode when the engine is turned off, conserving power. The device instantly wakes up when the engine is started or upon detecting vibration—no backup battery is required.

Log events such as engine on/off, vibration alarms, and door open/close with precise timestamps. These logs can be remotely configured to include or exclude the exact GPS location at the time of the event.

The integrated WiFi hotspot enables seamless transfer of engine data to the DriverLog app or any third-party applications for ELD compliance.

In the event of vehicle theft, a command can be sent over the air (OTA) to disable the starter. Once the vehicle is stopped and the ignition is turned off, it cannot be restarted. Note that for safety reasons, most countries prohibit OTA engine shutdowns or gradual deceleration while the vehicle is in motion.
